The CHOP Care Network includes Pediatric & Adolescent Care Centers, Pediatric & Adolescent Care Specialty Care Centers, Home Care and CHOP Newborn & Pediatric Care in community hospitals throughout New Jersey. We make our quality of care available to children close to their homes, where it is convenient and we are able to provide continuity of care.
Established in 1995 as the premier network of primary care physicians serving children and teens in the tri-state area, CHOP Pediatric & Adolescent Care practices (formerly Kids First) bring the best in healthcare to the community. We provide comprehensive healthcare for children from birth to young adulthood. We accept most insurance plans, and our doctors have staff privileges at area hospitals, as well as at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. CHOP Pediatric & Adolescent Care practices are located in these New Jersey communities:
CHOP Pediatric & Adolescent Care Specialty Care Centers provide a comprehensive range of outpatient subspecialty services to physicians and families in communities across New Jersey, including testing, X-rays, therapy and more. The Centers offer convenient access to Children’s Hospital’s internationally renowned staff and services in facilities designed specifically for children and their families in these Garden State locations:
The program organizes a network of special inpatient units to provide outstanding medical care for children at nearby community hospitals. Physicians come to these community hospitals directly from CHOP to provide patient services and expertise to community hospital pediatricians. Our New Jersey hospital partner is:
CHOP Home Care provides comprehensive, family-centered care to New Jersey children in their homes when hospitalization is not necessary. Home Care's interdisciplinary team includes pediatric nurses, doctors, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, social workers, dieticians and operations support staff, all of whom are easily accessible. Home Care services include home infusion therapy, home health visits, home medical equipment and clinical respiratory therapy. CHOP Home Care is also one of the State-designated home care providers for hemophilia treatment.
The After Hours Program, an urgent care telephone triage service staffed by specially trained registered nurses and intake representatives at the Hospital, supports both Pediatric & Adolescent Care Centers and Home Care. Nurses provide assistance to parents/guardians of children seen by our New Jersey primary care physicians when our offices are closed. They ask questions about the child’s health and offer care advice based on guidelines developed by nationally known pediatricians.
The Children's Intensive Emotional and Behavioral Program provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with various behavioral, emotional and social needs. Located at our Pediatric & Adolescent Care Specialty Care Center in Atlantic County, the Program serves children throughout the South Jersey region, including Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Ocean Counties.
