Why Global Health

Every year an estimated 8.1 million children die before their fifth birthday because they contract preventable and treatable illnesses like diarrhea, pneumonia and malaria. Over half of these diseases are exacerbated by poor nutrition in the developing world. CHOP staff work to change this every day.

Stories from Around the World

Global Health team members come back from our clinics in the Dominican Republic and Africa with incredible stories. Now you don't have to wait for their return to learn more about the things they're doing every day.

Our Photo Album

Global Health clinicians have taken thousands of incredible photos over the years. Scroll through our album to see what life is like in Consuelo.
