Welcome to the Office of Government Affairs, Community Relations and Advocacy

We serve as the liaison between The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and local, state and federal government officials as well as community-based organizations. Our mission is to support the Hospital, the Research Institute, and the entire CHOP health network in its goals of excellent patient care, innovative research and quality professional education. We accomplish this through public advocacy, community partnering, and by fostering relationships with governmental and quasi-governmental organizations and officials.

How you can help

One of the most effective ways to help protect the health and safety of children is to advocate on their behalf. The term "legislative advocacy" means supporting laws and policies that will benefit children, and opposing ones that won't. Here on our Web site you can learn about legislative advocacy, why it's so important to Children's Hospital and what you can do to help.
