CHOP in the Community

CHOP is committed to helping children live healthy, productive lives. All throughout our local communities, we provide sustainable, meaningful programs and opportunities that improve the lives of children well beyond the walls of our facilities.

The Office of Government Affairs, Community Relations & Advocacy oversees a number of functions that foster CHOP’s strong commitment to community benefit. Our Office publishes the Hospital’s annual Community Benefit Report, manages the Community Health Needs Assessment, and represents CHOP at community meetings, events and other functions. We continuously seek, develop and maintain opportunities that promote the Hospital’s mission and identify opportunities to support communities served by the CHOP Care Network.

We work to grow existing initiatives, while helping to develop new ones that meet the unique needs of children in our communities. Here at CHOP, our office provides a community perspective to Hospital projects, programs and policies.

For more information, please download the Community Benefit Report or contact Sarah Gibbons, Community Relations Manager, at 267-426-6904 or contact her online.
