Diversity and Inclusion

K-12 Initiatives

CHOP’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion partners with community based organizations and public schools to promote age-appropriate activities focused on the importance of education in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum, along with healthy living and anti-bullying. Together with our educational partners, we are promoting inclusion and anti-bullying and preparing tomorrow’s healthcare workforce, today.

National Liberty Museum “Young Heroes Club”

The “Young Heroes Club,” an outreach program at J. Pennell School, engages 5th graders with identifying and solving problems in the community. As the students work together, they practice citizenship, engage in constructive problem solving, and learn important lessons in social responsibility.
