John Maris, M.D., chief of the division of oncology at The
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was
interviewed by WHYY about the need for funding to support childhood cancer
research. In the article, Dr. Maris estimates that only 2 percent of funds from
the National Institute of Health are dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.
