SJ Magazine Examines Concussions in Young Athletes

 

Concussions may be a common injury especially for young athletes, but that doesn’t mean they are not serious. SJ Magazine interviewed Arlene Goodman, M.D. a pediatric sports medicine specialist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and she shared her expert insight about the risk of returning to normal activities too soon. Goodman suggests a gradual return to normal activity after a concussion, even if the concussion doesn't come with any other symptoms.
