The New York Times Features Injury Expert Kristy Arbogast Speaking at Federal Transportation Meeting

Today, The New York Times highlighted Kristy Arbogast, Ph.D., from CHOP’s The Center for Injury Research and Prevention. Dr. Arbogast participated in a roundtable discussion with other transportation and child safety experts, hosted by National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) to address the seasonal tragedy of heat deaths among children left in unattended cars. Arbogast supports the call for increased national awareness surrounding the issue, but she also expanded the message and stressed a technical solution to this tragedy. She then outlined a program currently under development by The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to evaluate potential solutions. Read more about the federal roundtable, and then learn more car safety tips from NHTSA
