The Philadelphia Business Journal Features the Recipient of the 2011 Biotech Humanitarian Award

Dr. Paul A. Offit, chief of the division of infectious diseases and the director of the Vaccine Education Center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, was honored by the Biotechnology Industry Organization with the 2011 Biotech Humanitarian Award. Dr. Offit was chosen to receive this honor for his development of RotaTeq, one of only two vaccines used to prevent the spread of rotavirus, and for his dedicated communication to the public about the science and safety of vaccines.
