WHYY Features The Cardiac Center’s Heart & Mind Education Day

Heart & Mind Education Day, a seminar hosted by The Cardiac Center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, is designed to share information with parents of young children and older teens and young adults living with congenital heart disease to help them thrive throughout their lifetime. The topics covered included getting involved in research, the impact of therapy on neurodevelopment, the Single Ventricle Survivorship Program and transitioning to the Philadelphia Adult Congenital Heart Program. Dr. Gil Wernovsky, M.D., associate chief of pediatric cardiology, was interviewed by WHYY along with the Bryce family.
