As one of the largest pediatric pharmacy departments in the country, we provide you with the chance to utilize your unique pharmacist and pharmacy technician skills in a variety of areas.
As a member of the Pharmacy Department at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, you'll thrive and grow in a talented, dynamic environment. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team, with nationally recognized pediatric physicians. Our department consists of inpatient pharmacies and outpatient pharmacies including a hospital-based and a satellite oncology clinic. You'll work collaboratively with clinical pharmacists in many specialized areas including infectious disease, oncology, pediatric intensive care, cardiac intensive care and neonatal intensive care.
In addition, our home care pharmacists care for children with conditions ranging from routine to the most complex. They often collaborate on home care management with specialties such as hematology and endocrinology.
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is at the forefront of pediatric healthcare and major research initiatives. As a member of our department, you'll have access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including a pharmacy computer system integrated with hospital physician order entry system, Pyxis Medstation® and C2 safe®, Bar Code technology®, Automix/Micromix Compounder®, Macro/Micro Compounder®, and on-line drug information including our own Formulary, Micromedex®, Facts and Comparison® and Medical Literature®.
