As a respiratory therapist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, you'll thrive and grow in a large, dynamic environment. You'll become an expert in pediatric ventilatory management, learn to guide respiratory practice using protocols and work on an interdisciplinary team with nationally recognized pediatric physicians. Our department contributes to the treatment of patients at every level, including the Emergency Department, intensive care units, respiratory rehabilitation, home care teaching and discharge planning. You can also participate in patient-driven protocols, clinical research, diagnostic testing, multidisciplinary care teams and the ECMO program.
In addition, our home care respiratory therapists have the ability to care for patients with conditions ranging from routine to the most complex, as well as collaborating on home care management with specialties such as pulmonary medicine and neonatology.
