Occupational Therapist
"The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is dynamic place to work with a wealth of exciting opportunities. Because the facility offers a full continuum of pediatric care, I have had the ability to develop expertise in a number of different settings and populations. I have had the opportunity to work in pediatric rehabilitation, outpatient therapy and acute care, with each area providing new challenges. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia also supported me in going back to school to obtain my advanced master's degree in pediatric occupational therapy. The occupational therapy department has a clinical ladder in place that has allowed me to advance in my career and take on new responsibilities. We have a strong student program that gives therapists the ability to share their knowledge and also a strong mentoring program within the department to support younger staff. It has been a great place to work for the past eight years and is only getting better."
