CHOP has nearly 50 locations throughout Philadelphia and the region. No matter which of these sites you will work at, parking and transportation are critical issues.
Various CHOP-subsidized parking options are available, depending upon where you will work.
Day shift employees at the Main Hospital, Abramson Center, Wood Center and Children's Seashore House can park at a reduced rate in the Hospital's Remote Parking Lots, located on South 29th Street between Ellsworth Street and Peltz Streets.

The Remote Lots are open weekdays between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. Shuttle buses run between the remote lots and the front of the Wood Center on days the lots are open. You must show a CHOP ID to use the shuttle.
Main campus employees working Monday-Friday after 1:45 p.m through 4 a.m., weekends and Hospital-recognized holidays can park free in the Main and Wood Center garages (depending on space availablity, you may be directed to an alternate location). You must show a CHOP ID for access.
Employees at these locations can park in a surface lot at 3800 Market Street. Parking costs $1,534.00 annually, paid through a bi-weekly payroll deduction of $59.00. To receive this rate, you must use payroll deduction. Users of this lot receive a hangtag. Download the application form.
Campus Park and Ride is an independent parking lot not affiliated with CHOP.
If you use the Wage Works program, you can pay for Campus Park and Ride with pre-tax dollars and receive a $30/month match from CHOP. Monthly rates are available, as well as a 12-use daily parking card for employees who do not drive every day. The company also offers a special welcome coupon for new CHOP employees.
Campus Park and Ride provides its own shuttles that run until 10 p.m. If you need a ride after that time, contact the Campus Park and Ride dispatch office at (267) 324-9691.

Bike racks are available in the Wood Plaza Garage A Level, on the Wood Plaza and near all Main Campus entrances. Racks are also available in the above ground garage/Health Center Garate west of the Wood Center on Curie Boulevard.
There is parking available for employees working at the Wanamaker Building at the 1201 Walnut Street Garage, owned and operated by The Parkway Corp. This lot costs $1,456 annually, or $56.00 biweekly through payroll deduction. You must use the payroll deduction in order to receive the discount rate. The Main Campus, 3535 Market St. facility and Wanamaker Buildling are convenient to an extensive network of public transportation. Depending on where you live, subways, busses, trolleys and commuter rail are good alternatives to consider. You can even get paid to ride public transportation, through the CHOP Transit Benefit Plan. This plan gives you $30 a month toward your train, bus or subway fare on top of your own tax-free contributions. You authorize automatic, pre-tax payroll deductions each month. The money, plus the hospital match, is stored on a special WageWorks debit card which you can use to buy tickets, tokens or transpasses. All employees are eligible for this benefit immediately upon employment.

The following routes and modes of transportation have stops on or near Main Campus
The Market-Frankfort El stops at 30th, 34th, 40th and 46th streets.
Five Subway Surface (trolley) lines come together from areas of West Philadelphia, north and south of the Market-Frankfort El at Lancaster, Baltimore, Chester, Woodland and Elmwood). Except for the 10 trolley, they all stop underground at University Station (37th and Spruce) and Sansom Street station. Four major bus routes serve the Hospital area, going east to Center City or west into West Philadelphia. They are the 21, 42, 40 and 30 routes. Trolley and bus stops, usually at intersections, are marked by SEPTA signs. For detailed schedule information, visit the SEPTA web site. All SEPTA regional rail lines stop at 30th Street Station. The Airport, Warminster, Wilmington/Newark, West Trenton and Media/Elwyn regional rail lines also stop at the University City Station, on Convention Avenue behind the Penn Tower parking garage. Amtrak also stops at 30th Street Station. SEPTA and Amtrak schedules are available online. New Jersey Transit lines run from Lindenwold through Camden to Center City, where you can connect with the Market-Frankfort El.
