As a member of our Nurse Extern Program, you will experience innovative thinking, practice models and unique resources firsthand ‑ and establish a foundation for clinical excellence.
Our 10-week program enables you to:
- Refine your nursing skills
- Get acquainted with the clinical setting
- Apply academic knowledge to practice
- Work with a preceptor
- Participate in weekly seminars on a variety of topics
- Schedule observational experiences on a selected unit
Requirements
- Current enrollment in NLNAC and/or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Completion of junior year
- Will be a rising senior in September 2012
- BSN candidate preferred
- Must be available for entire 10-week period (May 28 - August 3, 2012)
