The Emergency Department and the Emergency Transport Team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia offer an unparalleled chance to make a difference in children's lives. With great responsibility, challenge and rewards, you’ll put your skills to the test. That’s because our entire emergency staff is at the forefront of pediatric trauma and emergency care, so the difference you make will be one that truly matters.
The CHOP Emergency Department is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, treating children with a wide range of illnesses and injuries. As part of a Level I Regional Pediatric Trauma Center, you will provide care to the most severely injured children in our area.
Nurses with pediatric critical care experience may also choose to be part of the Emergency Transport Team. This team offers an exciting, autonomous position, transporting more than 3,000 critically ill or injured neonates and children annually via ambulance, helicopter and airplane.
We seek candidates who realize the unique challenges provided by emergency care, while always keeping in mind the exceptional power of the human touch. You'll work side-by-side with attending physicians and a skilled, multidisciplinary team — all of whom are passionate about what they do and thrive in this fast-paced, nurturing atmosphere.
