Neuroblastoma Research

Neuroblastoma is a common extracranial childhood tumor that arises in the peripheral nerves of the adrenal glands, neck, chest, abdomen or pelvis. These tumors occur early in childhood with approximately 50 percent of cases diagnosed before the age of 2 and 90 percent before the age of 5.

Researchers at the Center for Childhood Cancer Research are using genomic, immunotherapeutic and targeted molecular approaches to develop new treatment regimens and optimize those that already exist to treat infants and children with neuroblastoma.
