Background

I am a Registered Dietitian specializing in sports nutrition and I work at the Center for Sports Medicine and Performance in King of Prussia. For the past 18 years, I have counseled competitive athletes in a variety of sports, including all 33 University of Pennsylvania sports teams from 2004 to 2008.

At Children's Hospital, I'm a member of several multidisciplinary teams that include primary care physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, dietitians, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, licensed mental healthcare providers, parents and coaches. In my role as a nutrition expert, I use nutrition therapy and counseling techniques to help young athletes understand the physiology of the human body and to improve their nutrition.

When not working with young athletes in the clinical setting, I research, develop and conduct group presentations on mindfulness, sports nutrition and eating disorders across the nation.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a full gymnastics scholarship.
