Background

Elizabeth (Beth) Ely, RN, PhD is an expert in pediatric pain assessment and management. She came to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia  from the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. She has extensive experience with longitudinal studies in children with sickle cell disease. She works with clinical nurses to apply research and evidence to nursing practice.
