Deborah Humpl, OTR/L, has been an occupational therapist with CHOP since 2000. She is currently an Outpatient Occupational Therapy Department supervisor. Deborah's specialty practice areas include seating and mobility/adaptive equipment, splinting and orthopedic treatment of the upper extremity. She demonstrated leadership with advocating for occupational therapy role in the Brachial Plexus Program and the Outpatient Upper Extremity/Hand Therapy Program.
Deborah is a clinical mentor in the areas of pediatric hand therapy, spasticity management, and wheelchairs and seating. She has lectured on these topics at local universities and conferences nationally and internationally. Her most recent endeavor has been developing and participating in the Pediatric Hand Transplantation Program.
