Background

Jennifer Lemisch, MA, ATR-BC, LPC is a board certified art therapist and licensed professional counselor. Attending Hahnemann University Graduate School for art therapy, she worked in the Philadelphia area in mental health prior to beginning employment at CHOP in 2001. Initially, she worked inpatient and primarily in oncology, prior to joining PACT in 2004. Since 2004, as a member of PACT, clinical work occurs primarily in the home of patients, supporting families at home with nursing or hospice and also grief and bereavement follow up for siblings.

Having worked with families at the hospital, then having the ability to visit families at their home is the reason I am honored to be part of PACT and to continue to do this work. Providing supportive counseling at a time when families are navigating unimaginable decisions and also for grief and bereavement follow up through creative and verbal outlets has been rewarding as a clinician despite the sadness. To be permitted to listen to and hold their feelings is a tribute to the loss of a family member.
