  • Background

As a nurse manager, my role is to supervise, support and mentor the medical and medical subspecialty advanced practice nurses. As an advanced practice nurse, I work with the Cancer Survivorship team providing care and support to patients and families. I have a particular interest in fertility preservation.

I also have a strong commitment to participating in scholarly work such as writing, speaking and research. I enjoy mentoring and helping others develop their skills to enable them to share their expertise in various scholarly pursuits.

My recent work focuses on sperm banking and other options for fertility preservation; challenges and approaches regarding fertility preservation with children, adolescents and families; family management styles; mothers as caregivers of brain tumor survivors; and educational needs of patients and families coming off therapy.
