Background

Mary Fabio, MD, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. She attended Columbia University for postgraduate science courses and studied medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1996.

Dr. Fabio is a clinical assistant professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in the CHOP Care Network. She has had strong interests in global health since early in her career and has traveled to Central and South America for medical work. Dr. Fabio is the co-founder of the CHOP Refugee Health Program and a medical advocate for the Reach Out and Read program at the Karabots Pediatric Care Center.
