  • Background

     

    Mirna M. Farah, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). 

     Dr. Farah’ s areas of interest include firearm injury prevention in children and adolescents. She has published several articles on this topic, and has been the recipient of the “Ken Graff Young Investigator Award” from the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

     Dr. Farah is the Chairman of the Emergency Department “Family Centered Care” and  “Bereavement” committees at CHOP. The committees’ work focuses on helping staff members, patients, and their families better cope with stressful events in the Emergency Department.
