  • Background

    Annie Giaccone, MD, FAAP, is an attending neonatologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

    Her clinical interests are in promoting healthy neurodevelopmental outcomes for infants, caring for the neonatal patient with neurologic issues, and in providing perinatal palliative care. She also has a strong interest in helping the CHOP NI/ICU meet the needs of the community and referring neonatologists.

    Dr. Giaccone has Master's training in clinical epidemiology with research interests in persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn and the respiratory management of premature infants.

    After receiving her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Yale University, Dr. Giaccone received her medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her internship, residency and neonatology fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
