  • Background

    Dr. Hawkes completed his undergraduate medical training and postgraduate pediatric training in Ireland prior to commencing fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2013. His primary clinical and research interest is childhood growth and growth hormone deficiency. He is currently completing a PhD in this field.

    Dr. Hawkes has also published widely on pediatric diabetes. He developed smartphone educational projects including Pumps4Kids. This is an educational smartphone application for children with Type 1 Diabetes. This has been downloaded in over 80 countries over 12,000 times.

    He is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
