Victoria L. Vetter, MD, is an attending cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Dr. Vetter completed an internship in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., and a residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. She then completed her post-graduate training with a pediatric cardiology fellowship at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
In addition to her patient care responsibilities, Dr. Vetter participates in the clinical teaching of pediatric residents and cardiology fellows. She maintains a special interest in cardiac arrhythmias in children and the prevention of sudden cardiac death.
Dr. Vetter is a scientific reviewer for more than a dozen professional journals and has published some 100 articles and abstracts on topics including electrophysiology, post-operative arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death in children.
She is currently the principal investigator of a National Heart Lung and Blood Institute grant studying pediatric heart disease and the co-investigator of a National Institute of Nursing Research grant on feeding behaviors and energy balance in infants with congenital heart disease.
