Huayan Zhang, MD, is an attending neonatologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and is heavily involved in training and supervising medical students, house staff and neonatal intensive care post-doctoral fellows.
Dr. Zhang is very interested in lung development and postnatal lung injury. She is the medical director of the Newborn and Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research interests include alveolar and lung vascular development and management of bronchopulmonary dysplasia or infant chronic lung disease.
