  • Background

    Huayan Zhang, MD, is an attending neonatologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is heavily involved in training and supervising medical students, house staff and neonatal intensive care post-doctoral fellows.

    Dr. Zhang serves as the medical director of the Newborn and Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Her clinical focus and research interests are in the prevention and management of bronchopulmonary dysplasia or infant chronic lung disease. She is actively involved in multiple research projects and speaks locally and internationally in this area.
