Giant Neck Masses (GNM)

Intraoperative photo during the EXIT procedure of a fetus with a large cervical teratoma. The fetal head, neck and shoulders are delivered through the uterine opening to allow assessment of the airway while still attached to placental circulation. Prenatal detection of a fetal neck mass that affects the airway, as evidenced by airway deviation or polyhydramnios, permits formulation of a controlled delivery plan using the EXIT (ex utero intrapartum treatment) procedure.
