Doylestown Hospital
Doylestown Hospital's Intensive Care Nursery provides Level 2 care for premature and ill babies. The unit's team includes board certified neonatologists and pediatricians who provide 24 hour a day, in-hospital coverage for neonates who need special care. Consultations are available, if needed, from specialists in the fields of cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, ENT, genetics and orthopedics.
The hospital offers perinatal care, delivers 1,400 babies each year and has maternal-child health as an area of clinical emphasis. Childbirth and sibling classes are offered. The lactation program is particularly strong, with full time, certified lactation consultants and a breastfeeding rate as high as 95 percent.
