Grand View Hospital
CHOP Pediatric Care at Grand View Hospital is an innovative program that combines the expertise of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with Grand View Hospital's Pediatric Unit. Since November 1995, the newly renovated 16-bed pediatric unit delivers an enhanced level of inpatient pediatric care in familiar surroundings. Attending pediatricians provide 24-hour inpatient service to the pediatric unit, birthing rooms and nursery, as well as emergency room consultations.
CHOP Pediatric Care works with a team of healthcare professionals—primary care physicians, inpatient pediatricians and a specially trained nursing staff. In addition, telephone consultations with specialists at Children's Hospital help speed the patient's recovery. Upon discharge, final summaries and test results are forwarded to all caregivers, keeping everyone informed. Patients are referred to their primary care provider for follow-up care on discharge.
Subspecialists from Children's Hospital are available for consultation at Grand View Hospital. This expanding program includes pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology, pediatric gastroenterology and developmental pediatrics.
