Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center
Holy Redeemer's 10-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides neonatologists and skilled critical care nurses, and specialists from Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Gastroenterology and Rehabilitation consult as needed. Neonatal services are in the middle of a growth phase with plans for a larger NICU and maternity services. The broader maternity team includes obstetricians, perinatologists, obstetrical nurses and a lactation consultant. Perinatology services include Level 2 ultrasounds, fetal echocardiograms, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), genetic counseling, reproductive endocrinology and infertility care.
In-house neonatal nurse practitioners or neonatologists provide 24-hour coverage, with easy access to CHOP subspecialists for consultation. Transports to Holy Redeemer for convalescent pre-discharge care is available through the CHOP Transport Team. Apnea monitoring services and developmental follow-up care services are available at the Hospital's NICU developmental clinic.
