Phoenixville Hospital's Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care unit has 24 hour a day in-house coverage by board certified neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners. Specialists available for consult, if necessary include audiologists, physical and occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, neurologists, and geneticists. The team also includes lactation consultants and social workers, with a special interest in the treatment of post-partum depression and pregnancy-related adjustment issues.
The Hospital will begin expansion of its Women's Health Pavilion in the fall of 2009. This expansion, to be completed in 2010, will double the capacity of the NICU, nursery, labor and delivery, and postpartum areas.
