The Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pediatric Care Center, opening in January 2013, will provide the best available primary care services to the children of West Philadelphia.

This brand-new, two-story, 52,000-square-foot environmentally sustainable building will contain 56 child-friendly examination rooms, plus rooms dedicated to radiology, hearing and vision testing, and a phlebotomy laboratory. The new center plans to accommodate more than 45,000 outpatient visits annually.

What this means for families

The CHOP Care Network primary care practices and physicians at 3550 Market St. and 39th and Chestnut streets, as well as our Division of Adolescent Medicine’s specialty and family care programs, are merging and relocating to form the new Karabots Center.

Current patients of these two primary care practices will now see their doctor at this state-of-the-art primary care facility.
 

Location

The Karabots Center will be conveniently located at 48th and Market Streets near the newly renovated Market-Frankford El and numerous SEPTA bus routes. A parking lot also offers abundant free parking to patient families.
