The seasonal influenza vaccine protects about 7 out of every 10 recipients from getting influenza. In addition, in most of those who were vaccinated and still get influenza, they experience a less severe, and often shorter, form of the illness. Despite these facts, last year only about 6 out of every 10 children and 4 out of every 10 adults got vaccinated.

Although the vaccine isn’t perfect, it is still the best way to protect yourself and your family during the upcoming influenza season.
