Media Resources

Media guidelines

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia’s Public Relations Department handles all media inquiries. Calls to other areas of the organization will be directed back to our department because our team is most familiar with the special needs and deadlines of the news media.

We coordinate thousands of news stories each year for regional, national and international print and broadcast media outlets. Whatever your needs, we will work to provide interviews and information on deadline.

How we can help

Need to speak with a CHOP expert?

CHOP experts can provide information about cutting-edge clinical practices, breakthrough medical research, healthcare trends, compelling patient stories and more. We are happy to connect you with some of the world’s most knowledgeable pediatric doctors and researchers in specific medical fields. Please visit our Media Beat List page to determine which member of our team handles media requests for specific medical specialties. Or e-mail your request to us.

Need to arrange photos or interviews with CHOP staff or patient families?

Contact Public Relations. We will make the arrangements for you and accompany you during your visit to the Hospital campus or Care Network locations. (Please note that Hospital policy requires that a PR representative accompany all media personnel during their visits to CHOP facilities.)

Need help during the night?

No problem. The Public Relations team is available around the clock to provide the news media with information about The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and CHOP Care Network. To contact the team after hours, please call 215-590-1000 and ask for the Public Relations person on call. (To reach us during the day, dial 267-426-6050.)
