2022 Disability Equality Index Names CHOP a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion”

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has been recognized by the 2022 Disability Equality Index (DEI) as a leader in “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.” The DEI is the nation’s most comprehensive annual benchmarking tool used to survey employers’ disability policies, practices, and initiatives. For the fourth year in a row, CHOP received a 100 out of 100 score, the DEI’s highest ranking.

CHOP partnered with the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council to host its first matchmaker event targeted towards construction, facilities and building trades. The virtual event offered attendees the opportunity to learn more about CHOP, our supplier diversity program, future bid opportunities, and to meet with CHOP’s senior leaders, facilities and construction teams.

On June 28, 2022, CHOP welcomed Her Excellency Amna Binzaal Almheiri, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in New York, to observe the world-class experience her country’s patients receive at CHOP. The visit celebrated a long-standing relationship between CHOP and the UAE to improve pediatric care.
