Pain Management Research

Many of the physicians, psychologists and nurse practitioners in the Pain Management Program at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia are involved with clinical research and/or basic science research in order to expand our knowledge and care for all children in pain.

While your child is in the Hospital or is being seen in a CHOP outpatient clinic, he or she may be offered an opportunity to participate in a research study. Participation in research is voluntary. Your child will still get the same pain management whether he or she chooses to participate in research or not.
