Clinical Criteria for Diagnosing Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is highly likely when ONE of the following 3 criteria are fulfilled within minutes to several hours following allergen exposure:

Definition of Low Systolic Blood Pressure

Age SystolicBlood Pressure (mmHg)
1 mo – 1 yr < 70
1 – 10 yrs < 70 + (2 x age in yrs)
11 – 17 yrs < 90
Adult <90
> 30 % decrease in baseline
