Patients with inhibitors
- Novo Seven 90 mcg/kg, repeat in two hours
- Feiba 75 units/kg, NOT to exceed 200 units/kg/day
Factor VIII Deficiency (check brand chosen by family)
- Recombinant Factor VIII products
- Kogenate FS
- Helixate FS
- Alphanate (plasma derived product contains factor VIII and von Willebrand factor)
Recombinant Factor VIII Products
Dose: Wt in kg x % desired x 0.5 = # of units to be given
Individual factor recovery may vary. Check the patient's dose card.
