Interdisciplinary Elective Experiences

Fellows can elect to attend time-limited clinical observations in addition to the intensive clinical training they receive through their respective disciplines' internship/clinical fellowship training. LEND clinical observations offer interdisciplinary models of care in inpatient and ambulatory settings. The aim of the LEND clinical observation is to provide exposure to a range of interdisciplinary programs that can complement the fellows' training within their own disciplines. These electives are especially suitable for fellows who have limited or no involvement in clinical work, such as those in Health Care Administration, Special Education, Family, or research-focused post-doctoral fellows. LEND Interdisciplinary Observations include:

  • ADHD Center
  • Feeding & Swallowing Center
  • Augmentative & Alternative Communication Program
  • NICU Follow Up Program
  • Nutrition and Growth Laboratory
  • Cerebral Palsy Clinic
  • Pediatric Stroke Program
  • Cochlear Implant Program
  • Spina Bifida Program
