The Fellows' Forum is one of 5 standing committees that advise the Director and Associate Director of LEND. The objective for the Fellows' Forum is to facilitate communication regarding program matters among the LEND fellows, as well as to serve as a means to improve communication between the fellows with the LEND Curriculum Committee. An additional goal is to support the leadership development of fellows through their forum and committee work.
The Forum meets monthly, as do the other LEND advisory committees. The fellows elect a Chairperson and a Secretary. The Chairperson sets the agenda, distributes it to the fellows, and conducts the meeting. The Secretary is responsible for writing up and distributing the minutes of the meeting. In addition to addressing issues of interest and concern among the fellows, fellows report to the Forum based on their participation on other LEND and hospital committees (e.g., the Family Advisory Council, the Youth Advisory Council, the LEND Curriculum Committee, LEND Program Evaluation Committee, etc.).
The Forum is a means for fellows to identify areas in the LEND Fellowship that need improvement, and to work together to develop strategies to promote improvements as a group and/or in conjunction with the other LEND advisory committees. It also provides information about the status of various hospital initiatives.
