The staff physicians at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia hold faculty appointments at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, whose campus sits immediately adjacent to the CHOP Main Campus. Major teaching awards presented to Children's Hospital faculty members
- The Lindback Award for distinguished teaching in the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, given to Children's Hospital faculty four times during the past 10 years.
- The Robert Dripps Award, given by the University of Pennsylvania for outstanding teaching of house staff.
- The Special Dean's Award for programs that involve medical students and house staff in community service, given by the Dean of the University of Pennsylvania.
- The Blockley Osler Award, given by the University of Pennsylvania for excellence in teaching modern clinical medicine at the bedside.
