Psychology Education and Training Program
At The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, psychologists provide assessment, consultative, intervention and prevention services to infants, children, adolescents and families at risk for developmental disabilities and chronic illnesses.
Faculty and staff promote the design, validation and delivery of data-based assessment and intervention approaches. Through service, training and research initiatives, faculty and staff strive to provide a model of psychology research and practice in a pediatric medical setting.
Our Education and Training Program includes:
- A Continuing Education Program - approved by the American Psychological Association and offers continuing education for psychologists.
- An Internship Training Program in Psychology - accredited by the American Psychological Association and helps trainees develop the clinical and research skills needed to work competently with diverse pediatric populations and to obtain positions in pediatric healthcare settings or university-based training programs.
- A Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Clinical Psychology - helps fellows develop the clinical and research skills necessary to work competently with diverse pediatric populations and to obtain a position in a pediatric healthcare setting or university-based training program.
- A Practicum Training Program - provides graduate students in psychology with opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in applying theory to practice within the field of pediatric psychology.
