The Center for Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia specializes in the care and treatment of children and adolescents with amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome (AMPS). We also treat children with disabling amplified abdominal, head or chest pain that is not related to musculoskeletal pain.
Our multidisciplinary team of clinicians has vast experience and knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome in children. We provide a comprehensive, holistic and interdisciplinary team approach to the individualized treatment and care of children with AMPS. We help empower children and their families by instilling confidence and providing hope to restore overall health.
Our team collaborates with other treatment programs within the Hospital to offer psychological evaluation, physical rehabilitation and occupational therapy, as well as art and music therapy.
In addition, our Center provides consultation services for and education about amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome to families, clinicians and the community,
