Topics and registration information
As the parent of a child with congenital heart disease (CHD), one of the best things you can do is stay up to date in your knowledge of cardiac care. Heart and Mind Education Day is an opportunity to learn, meet other families, and ask questions of our doctors, nurses other staff members.
Topics will include:
- Care Binder Orientation
- Long-term effects of CHD: social, behavioral, academic and medical
- Surgery and catheterization
- Genetics and heart disease
- Exercise, nutrition and growth for the CHD patient
- A special session for adolescents and young adults (ages 15 to 25)
Registration fee (includes breakfast, lunch, parking and handouts):
- $10 for one person
- $15 for two
- $25 for three
