Inpatient Consultation Service

The Center for Bone Health offers an inpatient consultation service in addition to its outpatient clinics. On the inpatient consultation service, experts in various specialties regularly hold bedside rounds for patients at risk for fragile bones, wherever these patients are located in the hospital.

Fragile Bone Initiative

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia recognizes the special needs of children with fragile bones and is committed to protecting them. In February 2011, CHOP implemented the Fragile Bones Initiative throughout the institution to identify patients at increased risk for fractures and emphasize safe handling precautions.
