Center for Childhood Communication

CHOP’s Assessment and Treatment Implementation Program for Infants and Toddlers with Hearing Loss–Enhancing Rehabilitation (CATIPIHLER) provides ongoing, comprehensive, coordinated assessment and intervention services to young children with hearing loss and their families. The team includes audiologists, speech-language pathologists, educators and mental health professionals.

CATIPIHLER was designed to support children from the time a hearing loss is identified through entry to school, evaluate the progress of communication skills and assist with the transition into the school system.

The program also helps families identify and access services both inside and outside the Hospital, including services for optimal communication development.
