Resources for Professionals
The Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy department is proud to offer a number of resources available to other child life and education professionals. These resources can be integrated into an existing child life program to supplement the work already being done, or can be used to guide the inception of a new program altogether.
Resources
- Positioning for Comfort poster: an 18" x 24" poster illustrating comforting positions or holding techniques for children during invasive procedures. Ideal for the hanging in treatment rooms or other areas to support both staff and family education. Cost: $8
- Coping poster: an 18" x 24" poster which outlines age-appropriate activities for distraction as well as suggestions on helping children cope during invasive procedures. Ideal for the hanging in treatment rooms or other areas to support both staff and family education. Cost: $8
- Say What?: a pocket-sized medical terminology guide for staff. Say What? promotes consistency in the explanation of medical terms to children and families. Cost: $7
